Follow up on my rant on the arts in Detroit
Just a couple of articles about plans to revitalize Detroit, and one that shows that the National Endowment for the Arts is taking an interest in our arts scene…
Jim is a Theatre Designer, specializing in lighting and sound, and dabbling in scenic design as well. With 20 years of experience and well over 100 shows under his belt, he's got his opinions on theatre, and while they may not be expert ones, he's still got 'em. He also has taught theatre for the past 6 years and worked at a high school for the past 10 as the Technical Director and Resident Designer, leading to even more non-expert opinions of the world of arts education. He also apparently likes to write in the third person...
